Mrs. Miller

Mrs. Aliff has earned a BS in English Education and an MA in Literature with a focus on seventeenth century English poets. In spite of having recently finished her master’s degree, she enjoys being a student as much as she enjoys being a teacher, so this summer she enrolled in Latin 101. She is teaching some of her favorite subject material this school year, including a course in British Literature.

Although typically her spare time is spent reading classic novels and poetry, often in her favorite hangout (Barnes and Noble), Mrs. Aliff occasionally develops her artistic side with crafts such as jewelry and hat making. People may not suspect that Mrs. Aliff does enjoy playing video and computer games occasionally; she still owns her own original Nintendo and Super Nintendo systems, although her favorite game is the New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. If you want to try it out, send the Aliffs an email; they are always looking for an excuse to have a game night at their house.

Mrs. Aliff also loves to travel and has taken several life-changing missions trips to Mexico and China. This past summer she was able to teach in a two-week seminar for Chinese English teachers, where she had a lot of fun training them in all her favorite teaching methods and ideas. Mrs. Aliff looks forward to continuing to teach English in China during summers as often as the Lord allows; in the meantime, she will be spreading her love for Chinese food and culture with her friends, family, and students. She has been told that she has remarkable chopsticks form, so let her know if you need lessons.
