Pioneer Christian partners with parents to assist them in accomplishing their Christian education objectives. Primed with qualified faculty, Pioneer Christian desires to be that third leg of the tripod, providing an alternate educational experience alongside the student’s current home and church environments.

Pioneer Christian also seeks to alleviate flexibility issues by providing enhanced availability for parents who desire to educate their children at home. Often, parents will find themselves uncomfortable with particular subject areas and looking for external resources to complete their educational efforts while continuing to maintain the autonomy they desire in the home. Pioneer makes its classes available to those who may be interested in using the classroom and teachers as an alternate resource.

Also, Pioneer offers parents the option of using Pioneer’s online courses to better enhance their home education efforts. Parents are free to use the full curriculum or individual courses as needed. The online program is flexible and fun.

Credit Requirements

PCS requires that 25 credits be successfully completed during the 9th-12th grade years with 12 credits taken from PCS in the core subjects for a student to earn a PCS diploma; we offer a variety of core and elective courses both on-site and online to enable a student to meet this requirement. Regardless of the grade level or the amount of classes taken, PCS will provide a transcript for the classes taken for your home education records.

Tuition and Fees

On-site Course Fee

  • One credit course – $455
  • Half-credit course – $250

Online Course Fee

  • Single Course – $455
  • Six Course Package – $2730

NOTE: Any student outside a 30 mile radius of PCS will receive a 15% discount on the Six Course Package.

  • Summer Credit Recovery Course (accelerated 10 week pace) – $455
  • Summer Credit Advancement Course (accelerated 10 week pace) – $455
  • Summer Enrichment Course (accelerated 10 week pace) – $390

Fees

  • Matriculation Fee – $100 per student

NOTE: This fee allows a student to participate in any on-site extra-curricular event. Some extra-curricular events may have a fee associated with a student’s involvement (Sports, Fine Arts, etc.).

  • Virtual or On-site Lab Fees may apply for certain science courses.

Enrollment Process

To be officially enrolled in Pioneer Christian School whether on a full-time or part-time status, for the 2010-2011 academic year, the following items must be completed:

  1. The Family and Student Applications: All applications must be completed in their entirety and returned to the school office along with the matriculation fee per student. This applies to all new and returning students.
  2. Current Report Card or Standardized Test: All new students pursuing a PCS diploma must submit a copy of a current report card or a current standardized test. If neither is available, grade-level testing may be required at the discretion of the Administrator.
  3. Birth Certificate: All new students pursuing a PCS diploma must submit a copy of their birth certificate.
